Re-build
with roof extension

The project replaces an existing mid-century bungalow with a new family home, reusing the original foundations to minimise ground disturbance and embodied carbon. The design responds to the street’s character of low-eaved bungalows and chalet-style conversions, adopting a similarly modest scale and articulated roof form.

While respecting the rhythm of the C20 suburban vernacular, the new dwelling introduces contemporary detailing and natural materials that weather gracefully over time, ensuring a sympathetic yet clearly modern addition to the streetscape.
